Furious 7 is the most recent installment of the Fast and Furious series. It stars Vin Diesel (Dom Torreto), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (Tej Parker), and Paul Walker (Brian O’ Conner). Furious 7 tells the story of ex-criminals trying to get their lives together and reuniting with one another.  When it seemed like everything was over and they could finally live normal lives, Dom and Brian, along with the rest of the crew, are faced with yet another dilemma. The sins of their past have followed them back home when Deckard Shaw seeks retaliation for what they have done to his younger brother, Owen. Deckard starts his revenge by killing off the crew one by one. To make matters worse, a terrorist called Jakande is out competing with the US government to steal a highly dangerous weapon. It is up to Dom and his crew to help the US government gain possession of this deadly weapon as well as to stop Deckard Shaw from causing any more harm to his family.

From start to finish, this action filled thriller kept me on the edge of my seat with overwhelming scenes of cars drifting, intense fighting, and astonishing visual effects. Throughout the movie, I would occasionally laugh at the hilarity of Roman’s one-liners and his overall humorous persona. Witnessing Paul Walker in action again made me feel very nostalgic. Growing up watching all of the films, I developed an emotional connection with all of the characters, especially Paul. After finding out about his death in November 2013, I was heartbroken. He was more than an actor to me, he was an inspiration. I had no clue how they were going to be able to continue on with the series. I expected this movie to be melancholy, but instead I was presented with a very memorable, emotional, and action packed film. What makes this movie so unique and distinct in comparison to the other films is that this was Paul Walker’s very last movie. He was, in my opinion, who made this series what it is and it feels like without him, the series would never be the same anymore. It feels more like a legacy rather than a movie. The finale was also very remarkable, classy and made many, including myself, slightly teary-eyed. To say the least, Furious 7 is undoubtedly one of the best movies I have ever seen.
