Resident Evil: Retribution has released a brand new banner poster which features Alice (Milla Jovovich) brandishing a pair of deadly looking pistols against what can only be described as an apocalyptic backdrop.
Alice appears to be standing on a frozen ocean with a couple of naval vessels in the background which bear the ominous Umbrella logo. The giant tagline reads "Alice in Wasteland" suggesting Alice may be a bit alone in the upcoming film.
From the first trailer we already now that the new film begins with Alice awakening from an artificial reality in one of Umbrella's operations facilities, she then battles her way out to freedom only to discover that the world is on the brink of annihilation due to a widespread outbreak of the T-virus.
Our heroine then sets out on a global journey searching for those responsible for the outbreak. A massive trek that will take her from Tokyo to Moscow, via New York and DC.
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and co-starring Michelle Rodriguez and Sienna Guillory Resident Evil: Retribution will open in the UK on 28 September 2012.
