A clever new banner for
Resident Evil: Retribution has been released, and unlike the overhyped release of the last mediocre trailer, this one's actually deserving of a little attention. In a play on Lewis Carroll's classic novel, the image features Milla Jojovich's character in a watery, devastated earth with the tagline 'Alice in Wasteland'.
What's the significance of this particular scene? Who the heck knows? The Resident Evil movies, while fun on some basic geek caveman "ooh hot chick big guns" level, stopped making sense a long time ago. Just assume she's fighting the Umbrella Corporation for the umpteenth time and leave it at that.
Paul W.S. Anderson is back to direct, with Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Boris Kodjoe, Kevin Durand, Li Bingbing, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr, and more. Resident Evil: Retribution hits theaters on September 14th.
