This movie ran about 30 minutes too long. There were some serious
pacing and editing issues… and no… I'm not speaking of when Mary J.
Blige's dress changed for title song's outro performance. Things like
that, although jarring, are clearly intentional. Yes it's #1 for
opening weekend but I'm sure I. like others, are like whoa! One or two
more of these honkers and its twos or threesville from here on out.
This movie is for those at or around Madea's age. As for strong
points… Tari & Adam's characters. In fact, I would have cut out a
chunk of the church sequences to expand on the development of their
relationship a bit more. You blink and then they're married. All I
could think was Green Card! Hehe… I know… evil… This movie's heart
is in the right place but I too can do bad all by myself.
